Increase Organization Capacity – “Youth beget Youth”

The Memphis Youth Coalition believes that student attendance is the life blood of any youth program, ministry or any youth driven organization. The ability to drive additional community students to your youth service, bible study, after school program or scheduled event can sometimes be discouraging. Consider this, a Universal Calendar or (“UC”) that communicates scheduled services, programs and events of each Youth organization through out the city that can at a glance be noted. At this time, active members of The MYC can be strategically disbursed to those events quarterly throughout the city to encourage student participation with outreach/ in-reach and ministry assistance through:

• MYC Strategic Attendance Support

With this approach, we could revolutionize the way youth ministry has been presented in our communities and churches.

Increase Organization Capital

Sometimes a new van to pick up and take home youth, P.A. systems, musical instruments and money to go on spring break trips for college tours or just to go somewhere fun isn’t always in the youth ministry’s budget. However; the ability to know when fund raising events occur for each youth organization, gives every MYC organization the ability and opportunity to support these events financially and strategically across the city at any given time.

Organization Development and Support

Leadership training is essential to any organization’s leadership core team. The Memphis Youth Coalition provides leadership training and development every 2nd Monday night 6:30p – 7:30p. Our leadership training sessions are lead by experienced youth leaders and advisors.

• Community Research Teams – research what programs would best benefit community
• G.I.G. Teams (Get it Going) assist in starting new programs for Youth Organizations
• DEMO Team – Experienced Youth Leaders and Advisors training Youth Organizations:
  1. Leadership Development

  3. Performing Arts Programming
  4. Organization In-reach and Outreach
  5. Conflict, Policy, Resolution (CPR)

Create an Alliance (Accountability)

Accountability – the state of being accountable, liable or answerable. The Memphis Youth Coalition believes accountability breeds integrity among any organization. We believe accountability will also bring cohesiveness among members naturally and spiritually. If you never had accountability partner now you do…and a lot of them citywide.
